At Heerema Marine Contractors, we do something new every day. We operate the world's largest crane vessels and with them we transport, install and remove offshore structures for the offshore energy markets. Our projects range from installing wind turbines, removing retired offshore oil and gas platforms and installing platforms up to 50,000 metric tons. By joining us, you will play an important part in our unique maritime adventure.

Your role in the story

As Storekeeper on board you independently execute all activities necessary for the administrative and logistical processes in the vessel’s stores and handle logistic activities on deck. First of all, safety in our DNA and thats why we ask you to create a secure a clean and safe working environment. As an experienced Storekeeper you know how to prepare all manifests and packing lists (in our ERP system) for offload and backload of materials and equipment. But also safely and timely supervise off- and backloading of containers, rigging and equipment to supply vessels and material barges. In the end of de day you will ensure that tools and equipment are in good condition, keep service intervals and conduct inspection rounds at the vessel of stored material.

These are the highlights of your daily activities

  • Prepare, document and supervise waste discharge including dangerous goods declaration forms, and waste forms.
  • Manage deck inventory regarding project related materials and (subcontractor) equipment based on project requirements.
  • Manage store spaces while taking consumption, regulations, and accessibility into account;
  • Auditing certifications, the state of the material and assigning the correct material;
  • Keeping the gas and oxygen in stock and take care of maintenance of the paint and chemical storage on board.

Who will you work with?

In this role you will be closely working together with qualified colleagues from the engine room, deck, bridge, project team and subcontractors.

Education and Experience

Our desired new colleague holds a Vocational (MBO) degree, preferably in technical or logistics and has at least 2 years' work experience, preferable as Storekeeper or as Warehouse Manager, acquired in a marine or offshore environment Experience with MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook), knowledge of Oracle database and SAP is a plus. You are result oriented mindset, customer orientation and quality oriented. Dutch and English, both spoken and written are essential.

Heerema has a 5 weeks on / 5 weeks off working schedule but this may fluctuate due to the nature of our activities.
