At Heerema Marine Contractors, we do something new every day. We operate the world’s largest crane vessels and with them we transport, install, and remove offshore structures for the offshore energy markets. Our projects range from installing wind turbines, removing retired offshore oil and gas platforms, and installing platforms up to 50,000 metric tons. Your role in the story

  • Responsible for all survey and positioning related input on multiple tenders and projects;
  • Coordinate and manage survey & positioning subcontractor(s) including kick-off meetings, progress monitoring, inspections, review of procedures, review of as-built data, interfaces, etc.
  • Liaise with client survey team to ensure project survey operations successfully meet the client requirements.
  • Being up to date with the latest techniques and equipment regarding survey and positioning, following industry trends and networking with potential (services) suppliers;
  • Ability to travel offshore for vessel mobilization or for critical survey tasks (limited duration).

Furthermore, you have: 

  • Bachelor degree in Hydrography, Geodesy, Oceanography, Offshore Engineering or equivalent; 
  • 2-3 years of relevant experience in Hydrographic survey, Offshore construction support, or equivalent; 
  • Experience with working in a project environment; 
  • Good communication skills in English, both spoken and written; 
  • The ambition to work (temporarily) offshore on our vessels, overseas or in our other offices; 
  • A pragmatic attitude with a "can do" mentality.
