Your role in the story:

As a (Jr.) Structural / Installation Engineer you provide technical work preparation services for product development, studies, tenders and projects in the offshore installation and removal industry. You will have the opportunity to go offshore on our vessels and see your designs, procedures and preparation work in action, supporting our fleet with anything that requires a bright technical mind and pro-active attitude. You are open to feedback, curious and eager to learn. You are enterprising at heart, have a pioneer’s spirit and take control of your own work and development.

What you will be working on:

  • Engineering & Project Execution: Perform engineering tasks, technical project preparation, and execution support for offshore projects, including heavy lift installation, wind foundation installation, and removal projects.
  • Offshore Execution Methods: Develop offshore execution methods, select necessary equipment, and create concept and detailed designs for lifting arrangements.
  • Structural Design: Design steel structures such as grillage and sea fastening, ensuring safe and efficient transatlantic transport on our barges, tugs, crane vessels, or chartered HLVs.
  • Lifting Equipment Design: Design lifting appliances, frames, spreader bars, and lift points to support offshore operations.
  • Collaboration & Coordination: Work closely with project teams, considering operational limits and ensuring proper procedures are followed for successful execution.
  • Stakeholder Management: Act as a reliable partner to project teams by keeping stakeholders informed and proactively identifying potential bottlenecks.
  • Quality Control: Conduct quality checks on deliverables prepared by colleagues, subcontractors, and third parties to ensure compliance with standards and project requirements.
  • Continuous Improvement: Contribute to a learning organization by actively sharing knowledge, experiences, and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Subcontractor Management: Prepare and define the Scope of Work for subcontractors, ensuring alignment with project requirements.

Depending on your experience and ambition, you will start in a more structural/design role or a work preparation role, with the possibility to growth towards a role that suits the actual requirements and your ambitions.
