Your role in the story
As we continue to expand our operations, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Manager Supply Chain Management to lead a key transformation in our organization. This new role will play a pivotal role in setting up and integrating the Supply Chain Management (SCM) function within Heerema.
The Manager SCM will work at the strategic core of the organization, responsible for building the SCM function from the ground up, merging it into our existing structure. You’ll need to proactively centralize supply chain activities that are currently spread across multiple departments and guide this transformation through strong collaboration, leadership, and vision.
During establishment of the SCM department and looking forward, the Manager SCM will be responsible to develop and guide a high performance team of supply chain managers ensuring a consisted implementation of efficient supply chain management.
What will you be working on
- Driving change management by setting up and integrating SCM into our operations and evaluating outsourcing opportunities.
- Providing team leadership by building, training, and developing a high-performance team while ensuring talent development and succession planning.
- Designing and implementing SCM strategies aligned with company objectives in close consultation with internal stakeholders.
- Leading risk management strategies to address global supply disruptions and ensure business continuity.
- Monitoring performance metrics and KPIs to ensure continuous improvement and operational excellence in supply chain processes.
With who will you work with
Based in Leiden, you will work closely with the Director SCM & Procurement and collaborate with internal teams across procurement, project management, operations, engineering, and tendering. You will lead a team of Supply Chain Managers while fostering and expanding strong, long-term partnerships with suppliers.
Key Responsibilities
- Change Management: Implement the SCM function and drive the shift from decentralized to centralized supply chain processes across departments.
- Team Leadership and Development: Hire, coach, and lead the supply chain team while fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.
- Developing Supply Chain Strategies: Align SCM strategies with Heerema’s goals and continuously improve efficiency and reduce costs.
- Supplier Relationship Management: Foster and develop reliable and innovative partnerships with key suppliers and set up a supplier engagement agenda.
- Risk Management: Identify risks in global supply chains and develop contingency plans.
- Performance Monitoring and KPIs: Define and track key performance metrics to ensure targets are met and exceeded.
