Practice Instructor

As a Practice Instructor, you are responsible for the successful completion of the practical training for apprentices in construction works (in collaboration with the Practice Instructor for Allround Welding). This includes facilitating and implementing training programs that meet the requirements of practical training and align with the preferences of Heerema Vlissingen. The goal is to contribute to the influx of well-trained and suitable employees in the field of construction and welding. You act as a coach, a coordinator, and have good interaction skills with young individuals. You collaborate with the Practice Instructor for Allround Welding.

In our company school, you also conduct (weekly) tests for new welders and/or construction workers.

Responsibilities

The Practice Instructor reports to the Production Manager.

Coordinates and supervises the work of the employees under your responsibility;
Instructs and guides the apprentices;
Ensures a consistently safe environment;
Sets the best example personally;
Proactively shares best practices, ideas, and insights with colleagues;
Develops and coordinates training programs;
Maintains contact with schools, parents, students, and Metalwork.
Contributes to the further development of our training school.
Conducts company presentations, on-site training, and/or school sessions.
Works independently following procedures.
Evaluates results and aligns them with the manager when necessary.
Available for promotional activities.

Education and Experience

Minimum of MBO 3-4 level of education and thinking;
More than 5 years of experience as a Construction Worker, preferably with experience as a Practice Instructor/Teacher;
Valid VCA VOL certificate or willingness to obtain it in the short term;
Proficient in Dutch and/or English language;
Practice Instructor diploma or willingness to obtain one.
