We performed a constructability study for monopiles, pre-piled jackets, inter-array cables, and wind turbine generators that considered environmental conditions, soil conditions, and regulations.

By using our in-house logistical simulation tool, Metis, we could quickly run, add, and change scenarios due to its parametric setup.

Solution

We developed a set of robust and cost-effective offshore construction scenarios and identified that the monopile size chosen would cause difficulties.
