At Heerema Marine Contractors, we do something new every day. We operate the world’s largest crane vessels and with them we transport, install, and remove offshore structures for the offshore energy markets. Our projects range from installing wind turbines, removing retired offshore oil and gas platforms, and installing platforms up to 50,000 metric tons. Your role in the story

The HSE advisor will develop, coordinate and administer programs, reports and advise departments and project teams within the area of HSE at Heerema. In this role you will report to the General Manager HSE. Furthermore, in this role you will liaise with all Heerema departments and specially with our Project managers and Third parties with respect to HSE.

Who will you work with?

Your Team will consist of Tristan, Robert and Inez. You will work closely with all Heerema BU’s and supporting departments, project and tender teams and the vessel on board (HSE) teams as well. It will be your job to collaborate with tender and project teams both on and offshore to achieve a safe and healthy project preparation and offshore execution, actively promoting the dare to care mindset and behavioral principles and focus on continual improvement of HSE systems, processes and reporting.

Is this the job for you?

As a HSE advisor you are a self-starter. You know how to interpret relevant HSE documentation and legislation and can translate this into (practical) processes. Furthermore, you have:

  • A BSc HSE Qualification HVK / IVK / NEBOSH Diploma / Certificate or equivalent;
  • At least 4 years’ experience in the Maritime or offshore as a HSE advisor;
  • Experience with working in an offshore project environment is preferred;
  • Knowledge in the (maritime and offshore) HSE legislation;
  • Other relevant HSE education, incl. but not limited to audit qualification, Incident Investigation e.g;
  • Relevant valid offshore training is a pre (incl. BOSIET, HUET, GWO);
  • Excellent communication skills in English (Dutch is a pre);
  • Flexibility and willingness to travel.
