Procurement Specialist

At Heerema Marine Contractors, we do something new every day. We operate the world’s largest crane vessels and with them we transport, install, and remove offshore structures for the offshore energy markets. Our projects range from installing wind turbines, removing retired offshore oil and gas platforms, and installing platforms up to 50,000 metric tons. Your role in the story

As a Procurement Specialist we expect you to be part of a team that is to procure (strategic) goods and services for the various Business Unit (Wind, Transport and Installation and Decommissioning) projects, in a cost efficient manner, in time, in accordance with requirements and at acceptable terms and conditions. You do this in such a manner that onshore and offshore projects can progress according to project execution plan. Your internal stakeholders are Engineers, Project Engineers and Project Managers.

Who will you work with?

You will work closely with project and tender teams. It will be your job to

• Ensure that everything we use at Heerema is centrally purchased; 
• Serving internal customers by procuring the goods and services we need in a timely manner within budget against the best possible price and value;
• Support the business with a dedicated procurement team, equipped with up-to-date knowledge of the products and services of the market.

• Review and discuss Scope of Works for services, constructions and equipment;
• Coordinate scopes, specification and terms & conditions with various specialists resulting in an Invitation to Tender;
• Lead the bidding process, evaluate proposals, agree on clarifications, do negotiations resulting in a subcontract or frame agreement;
• Generate Purchase Orders for project related services, constructions and equipment in SAP;
• Provide subcontract input to the commercial part of the Business Units by up-to-date vendor, product and market information.
