Chief Financial Officer of Heerema Holding Company, Inc.

Nico Pronk was born in The Hague (The Netherlands) in 1961. He studied finance, auditing and information technology.

During the period 1981 – 1989 he worked for KPMG in the Netherlands, involved both in financial and EDP-audits for Dutch and international companies. In 1989 Nico Pronk joined the Heerema Group, started on the internal audit department and since then has been active in several functions such as Group Financial Controller and CFO of one of the operating divisions. Since 1999 he is the Group’s CFO, reporting to the President and shareholder Mr. Pieter H. Heerema.

During his time with the Heerema Group he has been involved in important events such as the family buy-out, various acquisitions and divestments, restructuring, the divisional set-up, establishing the Group’s corporate governance system as well as the implementation of EVA®. Currently he is responsible for Finance, Treasury, ICT, Corporate Governance, Tax and Insurance at Group level.
